Bishop Monkton Neighbourhood Plan Meeting

To a full room at the Village Hall, the meeting was welcomed by the chair of the Parish Council, Cllr Dean Culshaw who introduced the presenters, Cllr Phil Goodier and David Gluck. Phil, explained the rationale for the council considering a neighbourhood plan (further details can be found in the documents below) and David explained his extensive background in the preparation of Neighbourhood Plans, his experience of them and what they entail as well as the benefits, chiefly that a plan allows us to shape potential development rather than ‘have it done to us’.

The audience participation was extensive and it’s clear from the exit poll that the production of a plan would be very much supported both in funding and in practical help. The council will now regroup along with David to consider the next stage.

If you’d like to see the presentation, you can find it below and If you’d like to help, see the feedback form too – you can still help even if you were unable to attend the meeting and we’d welcome your participation.

You can either fill in and send the form or just email the answers in freeform to Phil at Phil.Goodier@bishopmonkton-pc.gov.uk. Please note that by emailing, we’ll retain your email address solely for the purposes of maintaining contact around the Neighbourhood Plan.  We’ll also be providing a link to a video of the presentation when it’s available so check back soon.
