The Lights Are On in Bishop Monkton!

The Parish Council would like to extend heartfelt thanks to everyone who helped bring festive cheer to the village this year. Special appreciation goes to Richard Taylor and Rick Costelloe for generously giving their time and effort to put up the big lights.

We are also deeply grateful to our sponsors, without whom the Bishop Monkton “pannetone” would not have been possible. Thank you to SHC Hire, who kindly lent us the cherry picker needed to decorate the big tree. Your support has truly brightened up the village over the holidays.

And in a delightful twist of fate, one of our residents recently bumped into the production company behind Football Fantastics while in London. The team had filmed in Bishop Monkton earlier this year, and upon seeing a photo of our lights, Liza from the crew exclaimed: “I love the pannetone, it looks magical!”
