From roadworks to recreation, your village needs you.
Bishop Monkton Parish Council is looking for a new councillor—and this is your chance to help shape the future of our community. Whether it’s supporting residents through local challenges, responding to the pressures of future developments, or exploring ways to unlock funding and grants that benefit the village, your voice matters. From traffic disruptions to play area upgrades, we need people who care deeply about Bishop Monkton’s wellbeing and want to help guide its next chapter.
We’re proud of our village’s character and resilience, and we want people who care deeply about its wellbeing. If you’re passionate about making a difference, enjoy working with others, and want to be part of a team that listens, acts, and leads—then we’d love to hear from you.
North Yorkshire Council has confirmed we are free to co-opt, so if you’re ready to roll up your sleeves and get involved, now’s the time!
Dean Culshaw, Chair of BMPC.
