We recently asked you via a survey should we change our name to something other than Parish Council. Read on to see the results....

A big “thank you” to the 99 villagers who contributed to the recent survey about possibly changing the name of the Parish Council. The results are in, and they are very clear – a significant majority (about 70%) of residents who responded do not want a change. Although the wheels of democracy can turn slowly at Council level, it is now a virtual certainty that the Parish Council will back this view at our next meeting in September.
Despite the clarity of the result, it was worth asking! The Parish Council is delighted with the high response rate and plans to use surveys like this from time to time to test people’s views – the results can inform and guide our decision making. Better community consultation is a big part of our improvement plans.
