Highlights
HGV Damage in the Village: Following concerns raised by residents about damage to verges, bollards, and other parts of the village caused by HGVs and other large vehicles, the Council is establishing a dedicated working group. Its role will be to monitor the problem and ensure that any incidents are reported promptly to the appropriate authorities. A full news article will follow shortly, including details on how you can support this effort.
Developers and Development Plans: In response to recent concerns about developers not fully adhering to the agreed development plan, the Council is establishing a new Planning Enforcement Working Group. This group will bring together councillors, developers, and residents to ensure that the needs of the village remain central to all future development and that the approved plan is properly followed. A full news article will be published shortly, including details on how you can get involved.
Neighbourhood Plan: Moving forward with the neighbour hood plan, the 1st official stage will be met this week as the council write to North Yorkshire Council informing them of our intent.
Pedestrian signs for Moor Road: After the issue was first raised with North Yorkshire Council over a year ago, we have now been assured that the pedestrian warning signs for Moor Road—particularly important given the new development progressing alongside—are scheduled for installation during the week commencing 16 February.
