Highlights

Planning and development: Caddick visited to outline their plans for development for around 83 new homes off Mains Lane, including and update on some of the work they’ve been looking at for flood protection. Caddick apologised to the village for leaflet campaign which has failed to reach a number of households in the village and have indicated postal delivery is on the way. It was pointed out that their survey was designed to produce ‘the right answers for marketing’ rather than having a balanced statistical outcome. Caddick took away a number of questions from the public and council and undertook to respond in time. In addition, they will be invited to talk at an open meeting by the council.

Neighbourhood Plan:  Cllr Goodier introduced the Vision and Objectives (here) along with the subgroup definition, and also the minutes of the first meeting (here). An update to be given to the village at the Annual Parish Meeting (APM) on 28th of May – more information for the APM can be found in the Events section of the website.

APM: The APM will be held on 28th May in the Village Hall  at 19:00 – Sue, our clerk be in touch with the various village groups soon.

Parish Council Meeting location: We will be moving locations from September 2026 to the Village Hall and our meeting will switch to Wednesdays vice the current Tuesday. We’ll update the meetings calendar shortly.
