Highlights
Annual Parish Council Meeting: This was the Council’s annual May meeting, where roles for the coming year were confirmed and policies and procedures reviewed.
- Cllr Culshaw was appointed Chair for the year ahead.
- Cllr Oliver will continue as a representative for the Parish Council for the Village Hall Committee and be joined by Cllr Holder.
- Continuing the Council’s preference for a flatter structure, no Vice Chair will be appointed this year.
Annual Parish Meeting – 28th May: A reminder that the Annual Parish Meeting will take place on 28th May. More details are available on the Parish Council website here.
Parish Councillor Resignation: Cllr Andy Hogg has resigned from the Parish Council. The Council extends its thanks for his contribution during his time in office. A Notice of Vacancy will be published shortly.
Playground Working Group – New Approach: The Council remains committed to improving the playground next to the Village Hall. We are now exploring a new, more community‑driven approach and hope to form a committee including members of the public to ensure broad representation. Further information will be shared at the Annual Parish Meeting.
Beck Biological Testing: The Parish Council has approved the purchase of a chemical testing kit to support monthly water‑quality analysis of the beck. This data will complement the ongoing biological study, helping build a clearer picture of the beck’s overall health.
